This is a family history project, featuring the SPURR, SINCLAIR and related families, including COWLEY, JORDAN, MILES, BRAUND, BOSWELL who served in Australia's armed forces in World War 2. Originally about my father Norman Clarence Spurr who served in the Civil Construction Corps and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), but also about his brother and then extended to cousins including Jack Desborough Cowley who was killed in action in 1944, and Colin Spurr who was awarded the DFC flying Pathfinders with Bomber Command over Germany.I have also included my mothers brother and cousins who also served. It is in chronological order including details of major wartime battles with historical photos of individuals and places. To add interest, recruitment and propoganda posters have been added. There is no commentary and is intended for those directly related, but would also be of interest to others wanting to see what WW2 was like for families.
